Super-Charged Protein Porridge


This may or may not be the most delicious porridge! It is so creamy and tastes so indulgent yet is super healthy and energising, plus is super quick and easy to make.

This porridge will give your body so much TLC, it is:

  • High protein -

  • High fibre - to stabilise blood sugar levels and to fuel the probiotics in your gut

  • Packed with nourishing fats anti-inflammatory - which I know some people find scary but they are so good for you and you need them to keep you full and to feel and look good!)

  • Vegan/ Plant based -

Ingredients:

1/2 cup whole rolled oats OR gluten-free oats (preferably organic)

1 cup water

1/2 cup unsweetened plant milk- almond, coconut, cashew, pea protein etc

1 heaped tbsp plant protein power

1 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp raw seed mix of choice (sunflower, pepitas, linseeds, hemp)

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Optional: Organic flavoured stevia drops - my favourites are the banana, caramel or vanilla stevia drops

My favourite toppings:

Fresh blueberries or 1 x sliced banana

1 tbsp pure peanut butter

Sprinkle raw mixed nuts

For a decadent weekend chocolate banana option - Sprinkle cacao nibs OR sugar-free chocolate buttons and caramelised banana (sliced banana fried in saucepan for 1 minute each side. This is so delicious!)

Method:

1. Combine all of the ingredients (except the toppings) in the saucepan and simmer on medium heat for 4-5minutes and mix often until thickened and creamy

2. Add toppings of choice and enjoy at home, or store in a glass jar and take to work and enjoy the delicious, creamy goodness!
